Athens International Church (AIC) initially started as a small group called English Speaking Group of the Greek Seventh-day Adventist Church in Athens. 

It all began in 1987 with a few members and as the group commenced to grow in number , the officiating greek pastor during that time, Pastor Peter Papaioanou and his wife were the ones taking care of us.

In 2009, the group increased to the extent that it was necessary to have a Pastor. It was at that particular time that the English Speaking Group was changed to AIC (Athens International Church).

Unto this day we have been worshiping the Lord together with the pioneers of the English Speaking Group.
